Step 1

Go to system settings. This is usually represented by a screwdriver or a cog wheel. You can find it in the app drawer or in the dropdown bar.

Step 2

Once you are in the system settings, look for Apps. It is usually available under the device heading. When you find it tap on it. Once it is opened, it will show you all the apps you have downloaded. It is important to stay on this page in order to avoid any chances of deleting a system file.

Step 3

Scroll down and search for the app you want to delete. Once you find it, tap on it and it will open a window containing buttons like “Force Stop”, “Uninstall”, “Clear Data” etc. Press the Uninstall button and your app will be deleted for good.Even after deleting the app from your phone, Google keeps its data stored on your phone, if in case you want to download it again in the future. If you wish to delete that data completely, go to Playstore, tap on the navigation tab (top left of your device). Tap on My Apps and then swipe left which will move you from your list of installed apps to the all’ tab. Here you will see the master list of all the apps you have downloaded. Look for the app you wish to delete and remove it from the list by clicking the cross on the right side.
