If you are the novice Android user, rooting your device can be a very complicated affair. There are slightly different procedures for rooting different devices the manual way (where you connect your phone to a PC via the USB cable…). A Chinese app, however, allows you to root your device without having to understand an ounce of the technical underlying concepts. Going by the name KingRoot, this is a simple app that you download from outside the Play Store and install on your phone. By simply tapping on a button, your phone will start the process of rooting. And if the app doesn’t work, there’s an equally simple PC software that you can use as an alternative.

Doesn’t work all the time

Before you go right ahead and get started unlocking superuser privileges on  your device, have in in mind that KingRoot doesn’t work on all devices. So you really have to cross your fingers and hope that it does justice to your device. Otherwise, you’re going to have to look for an alternative one click root solution, or just revert back to the same-old, technical way of rooting devices. It doesn’t cost you any more than a couple of minutes at most to try whether KingRoot works on your device, so don’t shy away yet.

How to use King Root

To get started rooting your phone, simply navigate to https://kingroot.net/ and click ‘Download for Android’ to download the APK file. You’ll be required to open your settings app and go to Security to enable installations from ‘Unknown sources’. Otherwise, this app won’t install on your device. Once you have KingRoot One Click Instal pretty and square on your phone, you can just simply open it and click on the ‘Root’ button to commence the process. A percentage-point progress bar lets you know how things are going. If the process falls apart somewhere along the way, the app gives you a notification and presents an option to try again. The team behind King Root suggests that you try a couple of times since they have different rooting methods implemented in the apps.If at the end of it all you find no lock with the mobile app, simply navigate to https://kingroot.net/ on your Windows PC and click ‘Download for Windows’ to get the desktop software. Connect your phone to your PC using the USB cable and make sure that you have turned on USB debugging. Launch the PC King Root software and start the root process. It may or may not work. If it does, you’ll have saved a lot of time and gotten away scot-free on the otherwise complicated rooting process. If King Root app doesn’t do it all together, there are several other one-click root solutions available in the market, but most of these either don’t’ work, or they have been flagged as unsafe!KingRoot is definitely worth a try. Before you get started on the process of rooting your phone, make sure that you backup all important data to avoid any unnecessary losses.
