Samsung Galaxy S6’s versatility has a lot to offer if only most users knew exactly how customize it in certain aspects. Customizing your device makes your Galaxy S6 stand out from all other Galaxy S6s’ in the market. This article shares just a few ways you can explore your Samsung Galaxy S6 through customization of some of its features.
Switching the Screen Mode
Galaxy S6 offers four screen mode options to choose from, the Basic, AMOLED photo, Adaptive display, and AMOLED cinema. This options give you the choice of adding more color to your screen or making images more vivid when watching movies, whatever is fit for you.
To access this menu: Go to Settings, tap on Display then select Screen Mode.

This function saves you the time of constantly having to input your passcode or pin or even scan your fingerprint. This is especially essential when you are in secured places where you have to use your phone a lot like at home, at work or in your car.
On the Settings, scroll to Lock Screen and Security; tap Secure lock settings and then tap on Smart Lock option.
Changing Galaxy S6 Theme
You can easily have a different wallpaper, icons and font type by changing the S6 theme.
In the Settings, simply scroll to Themes and choose the best option for you.
Smart Stay Mode
The feature detects your face using the camera and keeps your screen on as long as you are looking at it. It adjusts the screen brightness when you are or are not looking at the screen. Smart Stay Mode also comes in handy as power saving feature.
From your Settings, navigate to Display and check Smart Stay option. When it is turned on a Eyeball icon will show on the top bar of your screen.
Gestures and Motions
This range from putting your phone on your ear to make a call, a wave to wake your device, to flipping your phone to face down to keep it on mute. Samsung comes with a variety of gesture and motions options to choose from.
For access, go to Settings then Device from their tap on the Motions and Gestures to select from the listed options.
This feature is found on most Android smartphones. With benefits such as USB debugging and limiting background processes.
Go to About Device on your Settings menu, and tap the device’s Build Number continuously till you receive a “You are now a developer” notification on your screen.
Download Booster option
Download Booster is a features that boosts your Galaxy S6’s download speeds by incorporating both a Wi-Fi connection and mobile data connectivity.
This feature unfortunately is not accessible on all S6 devices, but to enable or check if it is available; go to Settings navigate to More Connection Settings, once you find Download Booster, tap on it to enable or disable it.
Samsung is known for featuring preloaded Bloatware straight out of the box. As useful as some of these applications are, the fact that you can disable some of the unwanted applications from and prevent them from updating or appearing on your screen is refreshing.
On your App Drawer screen, at the top right-hand tap on Edit and now you can select the app that you want to disable.
