Android has promptly grown to be the world’s leading mobile platform, with hundreds of device models available from different manufacturers. As the platform becomes more popular, the applications on these devices are getting increasingly complicated. This makes a lot of Android smartphone owners want to run their device faster. Considered that wireless carriers are not willing to roll some updates for at least 24 months, this leaves most of us in an impossible situation. We just have to stick to our version of Android, together with its bundled performance, until the next version is availed by the carrier company. However, there are certain things that you can do to increase the speed of your Android device.Clean up apps                                                                               Android devices come with a number of pre-installed apps, some of which are absolutely not necessary. While this isn’t exactly a killer tip to speed up your Android smartphone, it’ll definitely go a stride towards boosting its speed. So go right ahead and remove all those apps you don’t find yourself using all that often.Task killers do the trick While not everyone will agree with me that deploying a task killer will actually speed up their Android smartphone, I for one know that this method works. Just roam the play store and pluck off the best rated task killer, install it on your device and frequently kick away those unimportant tasks that are draining away your phone’s performance. I for one love the Advanced Task Killer, I can just set on the ‘Auto Kill’ feature and it’ll take care of everything for me.Watch those widgets Most definitely, you love your widgets, but getting obsessive about them won’t help speed up your Android smartphone. Take inventory and see how many widgets you have, and what proportion you actually use. Live widgets, as well as those that update frequently, can cost your device a lot of performance. Thus, you might want to remove the ones that you don’t use, as well as change the update settings so that they’re less frequent.Live wallpapers task your phone As you might imagine, live wallpapers have their toll on your Android smartphone. If you’re looking to speed up your Android phone, consider removing all those fancy live wallpapers you have been setting up to impress your cronies. Instead, just find a nice, normal background image.
