With the massive news of Galaxy Note 7 being canceled for good, Samsung has more on its plate than it can handle. However, the company is finally on track with its monthly update cycle, as it released the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge October security update for Indian users.
The two identical updates are being pushed out across the Indian subcontinent for the international variants. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge October security update come with transporting fixes for 68 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).
If you own a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge in India, expect an OTA update to reach you soon. To check for the latest available update manually, simply open Settings->About phone->Software update->Check for updates.

However, since the OTA update is being pushed out in stages, it could take a couple of days to reach across other regions. Do make sure that you have at least 50 percent battery charge and are connected to a Wi-Fi network before you begin the update.
