While most Android users have to wait for the Nougat, Nexus users will be enjoying it in coming weeks. Google is rewarding the Android Beta users with the update before rolling it out for regular nexus users. So despite being the first in line, you still need to wait before you can get Android Nougat on Nexus.
However, it doesn’t take much to get around the waiting line if you’re desperate to get your hands on Android Nougat on Nexus devices. If you haven’t received the OTA update notification and want to update your Nexus-branded device right now, keep reading.
Get Android Nougat on Nexus with Android Beta Program
Since Android Beta Program members have been using Nougat preview, they are being offered Nougat public version before everyone else. If you haven’t been a part of Android Beta Program, you can still join and skip the waiting cue.

Head over to Android Beta Program page and sign in with the Google account you use on your Nexus device. Once you sign in, the page will enlist all of your Nexus-branded devices eligible for the Nougat update.
Press “Enroll Device” button next to the device you want to get Android Nougat on Nexus. Confirm your action by clicking “Join Beta” to agreeing to the terms and conditions. You will soon receive an OTA update notification on the device you have enrolled into Android Beta.
Once you get Android Nougat on Nexus using Android Beta, you can go ahead and remove your device from the program. Simply go back to Android Beta Program and click on “Unenroll Device” to remove your Nexus from the program, while keeping the latest update.
