Despite being a success at the beginning of its launch, Galaxy Note 7 is turning into the biggest disaster for Samsung. After dozens of reports of exploding Galaxy Note 7 update worldwide and the $1 Billion cost of recalling their devices, the nightmare isn’t over.Since users continue to refrain from turning in their hazardous Galaxy Note 7, Samsung Korea is taking drastic measures. The company has released a Galaxy Note 7 update for Korean users, which provides a “fix” to the exploding battery issue.Being a hardware defect, the battery explosion issue on Galaxy Note 7 is unfixable without replacing the battery. However, the latest update for the device limits its charging capacity to 60%, which in turn stops the device from overheating and exploding.Galaxy Note 7 updateWhile there is no official news on the subject, it is expected that Samsung will roll out the same update for Note 7 users worldwide. In theory, by limiting the power charge to the battery to 60% cases of overheating (which leads to explosion) should be limited. Moreover, the added incentive should also force users to finally take their Note 7 in for inspection and replacement. If you are among the Galaxy Note 7 users who are planning to wait for their replacement to arrive, think again.Samsung will be rolling out the new and fixed batch of Galaxy Note 7 devices on September 19, so the wait isn’t too long. However, holding on to your device can be catastrophic, so send it over to Samsung and order your replacement today.
