The Sony Xperia Z5 is one of the most durable smartphones on the market today, but there is still room for improvement. If the battery on your Sony Xperia Z5 hasn't been lasting for as long as it should, there are a number of ways to prolong it even further. Here are just some of Xperia Z5 battery tips you should try out:

Find out how your battery is being used up

The first thing to check is the battery management page, which displays the services and apps that have the largest impact on your phone's battery life.Head into Settings >> Power Management and a screen will appear where the Xperia Z5 shows the amount of battery power you are yet to use, as well as the different power saving modes that are available for you to apply.

Employ the stamina mode

When the stamina mode is enabled, it increases battery life by switching off the mobile data and Wi-Fi internet connections, any time the screen is powered off. In addition, it also reduces the phone's performance slightly to manage the how much power is consumed.Using the stamina mode impacts the battery life greatly, by keeping most apps inactive and stopping notifications such as new emails. The stamina mode also lets you select the apps you want exempted from the mode by adding the apps to the Apps Active in Standby.

Try Ultra Stamina mode

If you are using the stamina mode and you are still not satisfied, consider using the ultra stamina mode, which further boosts the stamina mode. The impact on your Xperia's functionality is pretty significant once you apply ultra stamina mode. The mode ensures that almost everything on your phone is disabled with only the phone calls and SMS text messages remaining active. If a big battery push is what you are looking for to extend the Xperia Z5 battery life, ultra stamina mode is your best bet.

Change location settings

Though GPS can be a useful tool, it can suck up quite a lot of power on your phone. Going into Settings >> Location >> Mode, you'll find three options available. One is High Accuracy, which is the most accurate mode as well as being the most power hungry. The next option is Battery Saving, you can select this mode, if its not necessary for your GPS to be super accurate every time. For the least amount of battery drain, Device Only is ideal but also offers less accuracy. You can also go all out and completely disable the location services, which of course will mean turning the feature off for every other app on your Xperia Z5.

Turn On low battery mode

The Xperia Z5 includes a low battery mode in its power management options, which is automatically enabled once the battery power drops below a specified percentage. Low battery mode turns off GPS, Bluetooth and vibration along with reducing the screen brightness. You have the option of adjusting what the mode disables or doesn't by either ticking or un-ticking the check-boxes provided. While on low battery mode, it is advisable that you turn on image enhancement, vibrate on touch and auto sync features, as none of them are actually essential in any way. In the low battery mode Settings >> Activation you can specify the battery percentage that you want to trigger the low battery mode. What other Xperia Z5 battery tips missed the list?
