Netflix is probably not the best place to watch anime. Even in the US, their catalog is way too limited and the situation only gets worse in other regions. But, there is no doubt that if your favorite show is on their catalog, then Netflix is one of the best options in terms of quality and ease of use. That's why we decided to list some of the best anime on Netflix!

All the anime that we list here are available in Netflix-US. But, we cannot guarantee that they are also going to be available in other regions.

This means that there could be more decent options on Netflix that we couldn't mention. For example, Violet Evergarden has received a ton of recommendations. But the author hasn't watched it yet - which is why it can't be mentioned in this list - regardless of how good it may be.
1: FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a must-watch anime. If you haven't watched it yet, now is your chance.
Careful. There is FullMetal Alchemist and FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. You only need Brotherhood since that's the one that follows the manga story-line. And in our opinion, it's also all-around a better anime.
The story revolves around the two Elric brothers who ended up damaging their bodies while trying to bring back their mother from the dead by using the power of Alchemy. After their failed attempt, the Elric brothers decide to burn down their house and move out in search of the Philosopher's stone in hopes of "Fixing" their bodies by using its unlimited power.
2: Death Note
Death Note is another must-watch title. It talks about the notebook of death: the Death Note.
The concept is simple. All you have to do is to write the name of the person that you want to kill to the Death Note along with the time of death and the cause.
If you don't mention a cause, then the target will die from a heart attack. You need to know the face of your target so that others who share the same name will not be affected.
One day, Yagami Light, a high-school student, finds the Death Note and decides to use it in order to kill all the criminals in the city in order to create a more beautiful world. And everything goes well for a while - until the popular detective "L" starts investigating this weird case where there's obviously something weird going on.
3: Your Lie in April (Also Known as Shigatsu Wa Kimi no Uso)
Your Lie in April is without a doubt one of the best anime on Netflix for musicians and music lovers. But, that's not to say that others can't enjoy it as well.
Shigatsu Wa Kimi no Uso is a tale about Arima Kousei, a genius young pianist who stopped playing as he is unable to hear his own notes due to childhood trauma.
At this point, he meets Miyazono Kaori, a violinist who tries to make him play the piano again.
4: JoJo's Bizzare Adventure
Jojo is one of the best anime on Netflix and a universally known meme. And while it makes for a lot of great jokes, the anime isn't a joke at all - far from it.
JoJo stands for Jonathan Joestar, a proud, honorable man who is born into royalty and is leading a relatively worry-free life. Until one day, Dio Brando joins the Joestar family as an adopted brother.
And while Dio puts a good front for everyone apart from JoJo to see, he is actually only interested into inheriting the Joestars' fortune - even if the current heirs need to die for it to happen.
Jonathan soon discovers this plot and as a final act of desperation, Dio uses an ancient mask which somehow seems to call out to him and turns him into a very powerful vampire - that's where JoJo's bizarre adventures really begin.
5: One Punch Man
This anime is probably a bit different compared to what you're used to. But, trust us when we say that it's one of the best anime on Netflix.
One Punch Man is a story about Saitama, the most overpowered anime character to ever exist.
Saitama trained so hard that he can now take everyone and everything out in one punch. However, it's exactly because of that power that he is now feeling bored.
One day he comes across a cyborg and they eventually decide to join a super hero organization so that Saitama will be able to make a bit of money and, hopefully, find a bit of excitement in his life.
6: Bleach
The name may be the most random thing ever - but the anime is actually one of the best on Netflix.
Bleach has a ton of characters but it mainly focuses on Kurosaki Ichigo, a high-school student who can see spirits and even Shinigami - Soul Reapers/Gods of Death.
Early into the anime, a Shinigami called Rukia comes down to Earth to defeat a hollow (You'll learn about them in the Anime) but gets severely injured during the battle.
Ichigo manages to borrow her powers and eliminate the hollow. However, he later discovers that Soul Reapers are not allowed to transfer their powers.
Thus, Rukia gets sentenced to death and Ichigo heads into a different dimension which is called Soul Society in order to save Rukia from the execution.
7: Naruto
Naruto is an old time classic and undoubtedly one of the best Anime on Netflix - or anywhere else for that matter.
This is a story about a young ninja called Naruto. He was unfortunate enough to have a powerful beast sealed inside him while he was still a baby.
Due to that beast, almost every single person in his village is either scared of him or downright disgusted. As if that wasn't enough, he is also a failure as a ninja.
However, Naruto is determined to become a great ninja and get accepted by everyone no matter what it takes. The only question is, will he make it?
8: Attack on Titan
Attack on Titan is without a shadow of a doubt one of the best Anime we've ever watched. It has little to no plot armor with interesting characters and a great plot.
The story seems to be very simple at first. Powerful titans came seemingle out of nowhere and brought humanity near extinction. Then, the remaining survivors built 3 huge walls in order to protect themselves from them.
But, one day, a new kind of titan which was never seen before manages to break the first wall. More titans break in and tragedy repeats itself.
That's where Eren, loses his family to the titans and decides to join the military in order to eradicate them. But as time goes on, we realize that things may not be as simple as they seem.
9: Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji)
Black Butler may be a stripped down version of the ongoing manga. But, we think that it's still worth a watch and that it's still one of the best Anime on Netflix.
Kuroshitsuji brings us back to the England of 1885. Our protagonist is a young boy called Ciel Phantomhive who is born into loyalty.
One day, unknown intruders break into the Phantomhive mansion and they kill everyone but Ciel. After these events, Ciel becomes a slave who gets used by his "Owners" for various vile things.
It's at this point where he summons a demon and sells his soul to him. But, before he can claim his prize, the demon must help him find the murderers so that Ciel will be able to get revenge on them. That's the deal.
Ciel disguises the demon as a butler, names him Sebastian, and proceeds to find the murderers while simultaneously handling sensitive tasks from the Queen of England.
10: Hunter x Hunter
Hunter x Hunter is up there with some of the most popular titles like Naruto, One Piece, Dragon Ball, etc. Hard to go wrong with it.
In this world, Hunters are basically licensed professionals who can handle tasks such as tracking, fighting monsters, or even other humans.
In order to become a Hunter, you need to pass a gruesome exam. And the estimated success rate for applicants is estimated to be less than one in a hundred thousand applicants.
Gon Freecss is our protagonist who is intending on taking on this exam in hopes of successfully becoming a Hunter and finding his missing father. Along the way, he's going to meet a lot of people - each one with his own story - which will lead into some interesting adventures.
