1. Add Non-Gmail Accounts to the Official App

The Gmail application works best and awesome Gmail accounts. However, it can do more than that. You can also use other email accounts such as Yahoo or Outlook inside the familiar Gmail application. Gmail features also works with other accounts. In case you’ve a non-Gmail email accounts follow the steps below to easily add them;

• Open Gmail
• Open Menu
• Touch the arrow icon to the right of your name
• Click Add account
• Tap a Personal (IMAP/POP)
• Follow the steps displayed on the screen.

2. See All The Accounts in One Stream

Now that you’ve all your email accounts in one application you can merge all the inboxes to see all the emails in one stream. Once you activate all the accounts, you should see ‘All inboxes’ on the menu. Tap to see the emails in a single stream. To go back to your main account, tap ‘Inbox’.

3. Delete or Archive an Email From The Notifications

When you receive an email from with the Gmail application, there are some quick actions you can take right from the notifications. In case the notification is not expanded, pull down on it with your two fingers. You see an option to Reply or Archive the email. Archiving removes it from the inbox but it does not eliminates it. In case you would like to delete the email, follow the steps below;

• Open Gmail
• Go to the Settings
• Tap General settings
• Choose the Gmail default action to Archive or Delete.

4. Swiping The Emails With Gestures

The Gmail applications is packed with tons of gestures and shortcuts that can perfectly speed up the workflow. One of the gestures is a great deal for keeping your inbox tidy and clean.

• Open Gmail
• Swipe right or left to Delete or Archive

5. Search With Advanced Operators

One of the fantastic features of the Gmail application is search. You can easily find emails by typing the sender’s subjects, address or words that appear in the body. Search is great already but you can make it even greater.
