The new version of Android (5.1) is now being released to users so that they can fix security problems plaguing earlier versions. Android 5.1 Lollipop is set to run cool Android details and better functionality. This most-recent version of Lollipop is considered the best Android update Google has ever launched. There are some minor improvements and changes from the previous Android update.According to the Android changelog, there are over 14000 changes on Android 5.1 from the previous version. Furthermore the Android 5.1 Lollipop has a new API which permits carrier provisions.Based on reports at AndroidPolice, a developer identified as AOSP5.1 ‘Changelog’ was posted at Tenkik. The new version has distinguished fixes such as:
  • Lowering the provided by the vibration mode
  • Silent mode
According to changelog, the new version of Android will allow WIFI to be handled from the quick settings. Bluetooth will also be handled at the quick settings area. The memory leak problem that affected users of Android 5.0 Lollipop which led to occasional crashing of vital applications is fixed in the new Android update. The update also fixes random dialer and messaging application crashes.The Android 5.1 Lollipop also fixes the SMS problem than affected many users in the previous version.  Android 5.1 Lollipop update also brings the Telecom Service Provider which builds applications that can carry out provisional tasks on any Android device.Google says that the new API provides a flexible and secure way for the carrier applications to perform tasks and also distribute via Google Play. Other changes that were spotted with Android 5.1 are:
  • LED notification working in all sound modes
  • Swiping within the notification settings
  • Invert colors
  • WIFI hotspot toggles being removed in the Quick settings
  • Better screen pinning
  • Volume can changed while playing audio
We are really anticipating Android 5.1 Lollipop to be released to all Android devices. But there’s telling for sure when this will be.
