Sony Xperia C5 Ultra which was released in August last year has began receiving an Android 5.1 Lollipop upgrade. Until now, the smartphone was shipped pre-installed with an Android 5.0 Lollipop right out of the box. The OTA update is also compatible with device's dual SIM versions.It is recommended that the update be downloaded over a stable Wi-Fi connection since it may be a bit weighty. For users who want to manually update their Xperia C5 Ultra handset can do so using the Sony PC Companion tool. To check if the OTA Android 5.1 update is available on your phone, head into Settings >> About phone >> Software update.Google began rolling out the Android 5.1 Lollipop update last year in March, with Nexus devices being the first devices to receive it. This software update will make the Xperia C5 Ultra more stable as well as bring performance improvements. Within the Lollipop OS, Google has also incorporated fresh functions such as High Definition voice calling for compatible devices, built-in Device Protection to keep your device secure especially when its lost or stolen, and multiple SIM card support. Other enhancements include Quick settings shortcuts to connect Wi-Fi networks and pairing of Bluetooth devices.
