Owners of the HTC One M9 and One M8 on AT&T mobile network finally have a reason to smile. This is because the carrier has just begun rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to the two HTC devices. According to a post on Twitter by AT&T update announcer, Mo Versi, the update is over the air and users should already be seeing a notification to update or have the download available in their handsets' Settings in the About phone section.Even though Google's Marshmallow update has witnessed a slow distribution since its launch in 2015, 2016 has witnessed a lot of different devices from a variety of carriers and OEMs get their share. Some of the main features hosted on the OS include Google Now on Tap, configurable app permissions, Doze Mode battery saver and so much more.It seems a standard has been set for devices launched post the Marshmallow introduction, is that they have to come running on the OS directly out of the box, for instance HTC's 2016 flagship HTC 10. Have you updated your HTC device or are you still in the dark? Let us know.
