The Android 7.1.1 Nougat factory images and OTA updates are now live for a number of Google handsets. You can get the OTA files here and the factory images here. Verizon has already aired the details for the Pixel devices and you can also expect your device to get the anticipated double-tap to check and lift-to-check gestures which are part of software upgrades.Both the factory images and OTA updates are also live the devices below along with their build numbers
  • Nexus Player: NMF26J
  • Nexus 9 (WiFi and LTE): NMF26F
  • Nexus 5X: NMF26F
  • Nexus 6P: NMF26F (except the Verizon carriers)
  • Pixel C: NMF26H
  • Pixel XL/ Pixel: NMF26O
The Android 7.1.1 Nougat users should know that there OTA files and the factory images are the developer preview 2 builds for some of these handsets. As a result, an attempt to sideload these builds the most recent preview will be futile.Google is also releasing a separate OTA update for the handsets in the beta program. This will make them compatible with the latest developer preview.Factory images download links OTA images for Pixel and Nexus devices The Nexus 6 device has received a new build of Android 7.0 Nougat which contains the Dec 2016 security patch, but there is no Android 7.1.1 Nougat build at the moment.

What's my model number?

There are several ways to locate your model number:

Option 1
On your device, go to Settings, then "About device" and scroll down to "Model number"
Option 2
Often times you can view the model number inside the device, by removing the battery
Option 3
Using Samsung's model/serial number location tool
