Last month there were official information that the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update rolled out for Sprint and US Cellular. Today is the turn of T-Mobile's users to be glad, as Android 4.4.2 came to their devices. So there seems not to be a big improvement, just regular KitKat upgrades on Note 3 that were in the past too. T-Mobile users will get the new update and the new features that come with it. There is a new design for the status bar icons, now it will be white.So this is going to happen, you will receive a notification that the update is available for you. If not, you can search it manually going into Settings-> About Device -> Software Update. You must remember that there is a time of two days until the update will reach all devices, so don't be scared if you didn't make the update and your device says that you have the ultimate version of software on it.So if you are a Note 3 user, grab your device and check out if you have the ultimate version of the Android 4.4.2 KitKat. What's my model number?
There are several ways to locate your model number:
- Option 1
- On your device, go to Settings, then "About device" and scroll down to "Model number"
- Option 2
- Often times you can view the model number inside the device, by removing the battery
- Option 3
- Using Samsung's model/serial number location tool
