Samsung Launches Galaxy J7, J5 in India

Samsung, the South Korean tech-giant launched its brand new mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 in India on Thursday. The handsets were launched in an event held in New Delhi. The South Korean tech giants priced the J7 and J5 at Rs.14999 and Rs.11999 respectively.The Galaxy J7 and J5 will be availed via Flipkart, the online retail website. The Pre-booking will start on Thursday while the handsets will hit the market on 23rd July.The J5 has a 5 inch HD SuperAmoled display of 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and a 294ppi pixel density.  The J5 runs a Qualcomm MSM8916 quad core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 CPU and a 1.5GB RAM. The device has a 16GB internal memory and a MicroSD which is expendable up to 128GB.The smartphone has a 13 Megapixels rear camera and a 5MP front camera.Galaxy J5 runs Android 5.1 update with the custom TouchWiz UI. The device supports the 4G LTE. It has a 2600mAh battery and Sammy has promised an 18 hour talk-time.One the other hand, the J7 comes has a 5.5 inch HD SuperAmoled display of 720 x 1280 pixels and a 267ppi pixel density. The handset runs 1.4GHz octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 CPU octa core 1.4GHz. The device runs 1.5GB RAM. Just like the J5, the smartphone has a 16GB internal storage and expandable external storage of up to 128GB.The handset has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP megapixel with flash. The J7 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with TouchWiz UI on top and also supports 4G LTE. The handset has a 3000mAh battery and an 18 hour talk time.The J7 and J5 are set to compete with the likes of Xolo Block, Xiaomi Mi 4, among others.
