Samsung today announced a limited trial of a new program to let potential buyers use certain Samsung mobile devices for free, for up to 21 days. Devices currently included in the program are the Galaxy S5, Note 3, and the Gear 2 and Gear Fit Smartwatches.Unfortunately, the program is currently available at only five U.S. Galaxy Studio locations:Stonebriar Centre Mall, Dallas-Fort Worth, TX
The Woodlands Mall, Houston, TX
Westfield Topanga Mall, Los Angeles, CA
Galaxy Studio SoHo, New York, NY
Westfield Valley Fair Mall, Santa Clara, CA
Samsung will provide consumers who trial a phone with the device, including service, a screen protector, a charging cord and a pair of Samsung earbuds. Smartwatch users get the watch, a charging cradle and charging cord.Samsung may be exaggerating the "free" aspect of this program a little bit. To participate, you need to provide a credit card deposit which will be refunded when you return the device, undamaged, within the 21 day trial. What do you think? Would you take advantage of this program if it were available in your area?
