After being the poster boy for the Nexus 5X, LG is surprising its fans with the new LG V20 release this September. More than just a follow-up to the V10, V20 will be the first device to come with Android 7.0 Nougat. Admittedly, Google will push forward Nougat for its Nexus line-up first. However, LG V20 will be the first smartphone to come with Android 7.0 right out of the box.Building upon the popularity of the V10 from last year, LG plans to bring a premium multimedia smartphone to the market. However, while most of us will be struggling to get our hands on the newest Android OS, prospective LG V20 users can expect to be up to date right away.LG V20Vulkan-supported graphics engine and Doze for better performance are some of the compelling Android 7.0 Nougat features to look forward to. This isn’t the first time Google has shown liking towards LG, as the two tech giants have closely collaborated ever since the first Android LG device came out in 2009.
"We are excited to offer the first phone in the world to feature Nougat out of the box," said Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics and Mobile Communications Company. "The LG V20 upgrades and extends its predecessor's cutting-edge multimedia features a step further, providing distinctive mobile experience and sets a new standard for premium phones for consumers."
