Samsung is on the flow, that's right. On this new year beginning, it launched a lot of devices, but it also patented a lot of new cool things. The new best thing is a patent for a phone that have a aspect ratio display of 21:9. This is a ratio that you find on widescreen TVs, so if it will be accepted, probably Samsung will sell this new device for those that consume a lot of video on their smartphone. It will be a good market for Samsung, but for every day consumers this ratio is too wide and elongated, at least as it is seen on the patent. This is not the first manufacturer that wants to patent such a phone. In 2009, LG launched BL40 New Chocolate, that had a 21:9 ratio display aspect, but it didn't sell very well. Maybe it was too ahead of the world and the technology?!As we know a patent isn't always make it's way to the real world. Maybe the best way for Samsung is to bring this new feature on a tablet instead of a phone. It will make more fuss. But it would have to be something special to sell such a device. What's your opinion? Will Samsung produce such a device? What would you like, a phone or a tablet with a 21:9 aspect ratio display?
