While the feature of Ambient Display has become quite the norm, almost all devices still sport a notification light. Following in the footsteps of the Google Nexus 6, there is also a way to enable hidden notification light on Google Pixel and Pixel XL, which is turned off by default.If you just got your hands on the Google Pixel and miss the little notification light popping every now and then, there is a way to fix it. Fortunately, the notification light hidden near the earpiece of the Google Pixel and Pixel XL can be easily activated from the Settings app itself.

Enable Hidden Notification Light on Google Pixel and Pixel XL

From the home screen of your Pixel, slide down to find the gear icon on the status menu, or simply navigate to the app from the app drawer. Scroll down in the Settings menu to find the Notifications menu and tap on it.enable hidden notification light on Google PixelIn the Notifications menu, you should be able to see the tiny gear icon on the top-right corner of the screen. What's my model number?

There are several ways to locate your model number:

Option 1
On your device, go to Settings, then "About device" and scroll down to "Model number"
Option 2
Often times you can view the model number inside the device, by removing the battery
Option 3
Using Samsung's model/serial number location tool
