Screenshots are not only a great way to store up images of things currently available on your screen, they also save on the time and data that would have otherwise been used to download the said content. Screenshots basically serve as a shortcut for saving information for later reference. This in mind, how can easily take screenshots on your new Samsung Galaxy S7 handset? In this article we share three methods to do just that.

Using button combinations

One of the easiest ways to capture screenshots on your Galaxy S7, is through the combination of physical buttons available on the device. Here is how:
  1. Prepare the image you want to take a screenshot of.
  2. Press and hold the Power and Home buttons at the same time for a few seconds.
  3. A shutter sound should be heard immediately the image is captured, unless your phone is on silent.

By use of gestures

Even though gestures are not as widely used as Samsung would wish, they are still a great alternative when it comes to taking screenshots on your Galaxy device, especially if you prefer a way that feels much more modern.Since the gestures are enabled by default, making use of them is pretty straightforward.
  1. Prepare the image you want to take a screenshot of.
  2. Swipe your whole hand over the device, in either direction (left or right).
  3. A shutter sound should be heard immediately the image is captured, unless your phone is on silent.
  4. The image will instantly be saved on the Screenshots folder located within your device’s Gallery app.
The gestures will get easier once you get the hang of it.

Scrolling screenshots

This is a relatively new feature that allows users to capture longer screenshots. To begin a scrolling screenshot:
  1. Take a normal screenshot using any one of the above methods.
  2. Now tap the Capture more option to start a scrolling screenshot.
  3. Continue tapping until you’ve captured as much as you wish.
  4. To view the scrolling screenshot, navigate to the Gallery app of your phone, in the Screenshots folder.
