The storage on Android smartphones is limited, leaving most users to depend on cloud storage for all their music. While most prefer to download music for offline playbacks, music streaming apps such as Google Play Music and Spotify have proven more convenient. But what other music streaming apps should you give a try?

Spotify

Spotify is probably the dominant app for music streams right next to Google Play Music. This music service is popular among Android users and has a free and a paid version which are available in the Play Store. The paid version is will need a $10 monthly fee, which among other features will allow you to download music for playbacks offline.

SoundCloud

SoundCloud is versatile music streaming app that offers more than just music. This app offers all kinds of audio from podcasts to e-books. SoundCloud also offers unknown or not yet popular artists a platform to showcase their music.

Deezer Music

Deezer is another app that has two, a free and paid version. The paid version features blocked ads and 320kps audio. the app has an optional 15-day trial that lets you try out the paid version and decide if its worth the buy.

Pandora

Pandora is an awesome app that is able to create radio stations depending on your likes and dislikes. Pandora is available on the Play Store for free, with an option of signing up for Pandora One if you prefer endless skips and minus the ads. The free version only allows 6 skips within an hour with tons of ads to deal with.

Samsung Milk Music

This is Samsung's own music streaming service. Milk Music is powered by Slacker which makes it even better. It is available for free, comes with a variety of playlists along with being compatible with all Android devices.

Google Play Music

Google Play Music has been in existence for a while. Google Play Music launched as a platform where users could upload as many as 25,000 songs and then stream them for free. Only in 2012, an All Access/music unlimited feature was added by Google, which allowed users access to millions of songs and new albums for playbacks, create playlist and a lot more all for monthly fee of $9.99.

Rdio Music

Rdio is another awesome music streaming app that works from anywhere in the world. With songs beyond 35 million accessible for streaming, this app lets you select from customizable playlists, songs, full album playbacks, and so much more. Rdio is available on smartphones, tablets, laptops, Sonos and Chromecast.

iHeart Radio

Compared to other apps on the list, iHeart is not quite a music streaming app. iHeartRadio is made up of Clear Channel radio stations found all over the US. There are several ways to locate your model number:

Option 1
On your device, go to Settings, then "About device" and scroll down to "Model number"
Option 2
Often times you can view the model number inside the device, by removing the battery
Option 3
Using Samsung's model/serial number location tool
