Samsung’s “Love for curve” speaks yet again as the Korean telecommunication giant launched “out-of-the-box” Galaxy Note Edge in September 2014. At a first glance, you might not recognize what’s different in it than Galaxy Note 4, until you see the dramatically curved right edge. It’s not just the design that attracts every eye; the curved edge has its own features that no one can possibly find in flat edged phones. It is powered up with 5.6” Youm AMOLED display, allowing users to access alerts, frequently used apps and device functions when the phone is covered. Even better, the smartphone makes sure not to interrupt your onscreen work by displaying notifications at the edge.Curved edge isn’t the only thing making it standout, with market’s toughest competitors like iPhone 6 plus and Google Nexus 6, Samsung Galaxy Note Edge has everything what it takes to win the best phablet-game of 2014. Let’s find out what else it offers that others don’t.Apart from the second screen, the Galaxy Note Edge offers a jaw-dropping 2560 x 1440 pixel display with the densest 524 pixels per inch as compared to 493 ppi in Google Nexus 6 and 401 ppi in iPhone 6 plus.Galaxy Note Edge again tops with 3.7 megapixel front camera and 16 megapixel rear camera (with optical image stabilization), beating Nexus 6’s 2 MP front camera and 13 MP rear camera; and Apple’s 8 megapixel rear and 1.2 megapixel front cameras. Looks like the East Asian telecom company has everything worked out in terms of design, resolution and high definition photos. While the processor speed of both Android phones remains the same because of the same 2.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core 805 processor. Here Apple has a slight advantage as it has its own A8 processor. If you look at other technical details, there is not much of a difference except for the fact that iPhone 6+ offers 24-hour talk time, 4 hours better than Galaxy Note Edge and Google Nexus 6. Galaxy Note Edge also offers 128 GB microSD card which is not offered by either of its competitors. While it’s up to you to decide which phone attracts you the most, the good thing about this year has been the toughest competition among the bests, giving people great choices to try. Having mentioned that, Samsung Galaxy Note Edge gives a little bit more with its innovative curved edge.
