The origin of CyanogenMod
CyanogenMod began as a simple alternative to Android on the HTC Magic and HTC Dream with the initial release of CM3.1 in 2009. With Android’s ability to obtain root access and its open source nature, anything is possible and with the popularity of ROMS, the CyanogenMod blossomed.
