Opera has finally brought its free VPN software to Android devices.  Better yet, this Opera free VPN is offering its service with entirely free unlimited access. The VPN is a separate application to Opera’s web browser, and you will be able to apply the new location settings cross your handset and other applications. Moreover, this application is offering a quick button to apply your location that will default to a supported region. You can lock the location to specific regions such as Netherlands, United States, Germany, Canada or Singapore, and then disable cookies from tracking the data.

Security and Privacy

For now, the only security information available is that the Opera VPN uses the AES-256 encryption. The cipher, authentication method, the RSA handshake keys and the Perfect Forward Secrecy details are yet to be known. On privacy, Opera offers a clear privacy policy and explain it clearly on why and how they collect data such as the personal information.

There are several ways to locate your model number:

Option 1
On your device, go to Settings, then "About device" and scroll down to "Model number"
Option 2
Often times you can view the model number inside the device, by removing the battery
Option 3
Using Samsung's model/serial number location tool
